Well, after I read this book; I did not believe the prejudices of this world. As an eighteen year old college student, this book had certainly opened my eyes. At the moment I am reading "The Help", "The Help" and "Southland" are different in many ways, but they are both similar when /5(48).

Southland is more than one type of book, as I mentioned earlier. Glimpse is the third Carol Lynch Williams book Ive read, and my first experience with her verse. I had suspected from the eloquently spare style of The Chosen One and Miles From Ordinary that the author would handle verse effectively, and that theory was borne out by the pared back, sharp poetry used to tell the story in Glimpse/5.
